Group Recognized For Conservation Efforts

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Clean Air Campaign and the city of
Savannah are among several Georgia institutions recognized by Gov. Sonny Perdue for their conservation and green efforts.

Perdue has announced the winners of the 2009 Conserve Georgia's Natural Leaders Awards and Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia Awards. Both recognize conservation initiatives.

Conserve Georgia winners included the Clean Air Campaign, Darton College, Georgia Power Wildlife Management Program and The Nature Conservancy in Georgia. Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia Award winners included SouthEast Green, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Savannah, and InterfaceFLOR of LaGrange.
