Needs Fixing

Call the repairman. The government's Energy Star Program needs fixing. The Energy Department's Inspector General has released a report that could shake confidence in the program just as the Federal Government is about to pump 300 million dollars into rebates for consumers who purchase appliances with the Energy Star label. Now there's concern that some of those products may not offer the energy savings that you expect.
