5th grader donates books to school, gets day named after him

POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. -- A 5th grader in Powder Springs is becoming a hero for the work he's doing in the community.

Jordan Piper donated 500 books to Kemp Elementary School through Better World Books last Friday.

He was recognized by the mayor of Powder Springs, who officially named May 2nd, "Jordan Piper Day."

Among the hundreds of books Jordan donated, 20 were his favorites for the school's book club.
