What issues are Georgia voters searching for on Election Night?

Social media frenzy ahead of results

Interest in Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton among people in Georgia searching on Google is equal, according to Google Trends.

On election day, 43 percent of searches in Georgia are for Republican candidate Donald Trump, while 42 percent are for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. Libertarian party candidate Gary Johnson was in eight percent of searches, Green party candidate Jill Stein 4 percent and Independent candidate Evan McMullin 3 percent.

Clinton has been searched more than the other candidates in metro Atlanta counties, such as Fulton, Cherokee, Cobb and DeKalb. Trump has been more frequently searched in Gwinnett, Forsyth and Douglas counties.

The past week, abortion appeared to be one of the most searched issues in Georgia, with immigration and the economy closely behind, according to search engine's trends site.
