President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the first day of his international trip has been “tremendous.”

The president had a full day of meetings and ceremonies in the Saudi capital.

Late in the day, he praised a series of deals signed between the two countries.

“It was a tremendous day. I just want to thank everybody, but tremendous investments in to the United States and our military community is very happy and we want to thank you and Saudi Arabia,” Trump said. “Hundreds of billions of dollars of investments into the United States and jobs, jobs, jobs."

The president agreed to a defense cooperation deal with the Saudis, pledging $110 billion effective immediately and up to $350 billion over 10 years.

There are some private sector agreements, as well.

The military package includes tanks, combat ships, missile defense systems, radar communications, and cybersecurity partnerships.
