Suspected tornado blasts through Tulsa early Sunday morning

Sunday morning reveals damage from overnight storms in Tulsa (NBC News)

TULSA, OK - Some heavy damage was reported in Tulsa, Oklahoma from what may have been a tornado during the early morning hours Sunday. 

Roofs and walls collapsed at a number of businesses. Power poles are down and business signs are ripped apart. 

The storm rolled through at about 1:30 Sunday morning, bringing extremely high winds and heavy rains to the center of Tulsa. 

A number of homes have been damaged as well, along with windows blown out in some downtown Tulsa high-rises.

Crews are frantically working to clean up and repair. 

Police say no businesses were expected to open on Sunday as a result of the damage.
