VIDEO: Motorcyclist nearly hits police officer

A difference of inches and milliseconds probably saved the life of a San Antonio police officer as he narrowly escaped being hit by a motorcyle.

SAN ANTONIO -- A San Antonio police officer was on a traffic stop at Loop 410 near San Pedro when he had a close call in March.

A motorcycle rider was tapped by a merging truck on March 13, according to SAPD. The motorcycle rider slid off and his motorcycle then crashed into the back of a parked truck.

The patrol officer literally side steps as the motorcycle crashes into the stopped truck in the video.

The motorcycle rider suffered broken bones and road rash.
