A group of Southwest DeKalb High School seniors are heading to college after a special surprise.
Representatives from Georgia State University and State Farm surprised 14 students with full-ride scholarships to attend two-year programs at Georgia State's Decatur campus.
The students were so overwhelmed that they couldn't wait to call home.
The scholarships were made possible with a $14.5 million gift from State Farm.
The gift will fund 50 scholarships from DeKalb County high schools each year.
