MACON, Ga. -- Federal prosecutors say they've dismantled a
major cocaine ring that was operating in Macon.

U.S. Attorney Michael Moore said Wednesday the drug trafficking
group was headed by Andre and Hugh Fowler. He said the ring shipped in at least three kilograms of cocaine every two weeks from a source in Atlanta, hid the drugs in stash houses and then sold it to area cocaine dealers.

Andre, 38, and Hugh, 37, pleaded guilty last week to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. Prosecutors said four others involved with the ring have also pleaded guilty to similar charges.

John S. Comer of the Drug Enforcement Administration said the
prosecution makes middle Georgia a safer place to live.
