ATLANTA -- A Westminster alum has been selected as one of 32 American Rhodes Scholars for 2012.
Ishan Nath graduated from the Westminster Schools in 2008. He is currently a senior at Stanford University majoring in economics and earth systems with a minor in mathematics.
Nath plans to pursue graduate studies in economics at Oxford University in England. His Rhodes Scholarship will cover two to three years of study, averaging about $50,000 annually.
Nath served as an intern at the White House's office of economic policy. His senior thesis involves clean energy and a national cap-and-trade system for power plant emissions.
In high school, he served as a leader of Westminster's Campus Conservation Corps and played basketball, according to the Atlanta private school.
