ATLANTA -- Imagine someone stealing your tax refund check and then using it to open a fraudulent bank account in your name.
And it gets worse. The thieves managed to spend most of the money before the victim, the police or the bank ever caught on.
That's exactly what happened to one Buckhead family.
An alert employee at the bank finally realized someone was amiss and called the police Tuesday.
Officers arrested Maurice Pollock for forging checks. Their investigation is ongoing.
