DENVER -- Authorities say one of three siblings who were part of a crime spree and nationwide manhunt planned to escape from a Colorado jail.
They say Dylan Stanley Dougherty got out of his cell through a plumbing access panel and got a note to his sister, Lee Grace Dougherty, telling her he was going to break her out of jail.

He faces charges of conspiracy to escape and possession of contraband for the alleged escape plan discover during a Jan. 10 search.
According to an arrest affidavit, deputies found a homemade knife and letter to the FBI in Dylan Dougherty's cell. A deputy who followed the plumbing into the ceiling found footprints, as well as a note to Lee Grace saying he planned to subdue guards, steal their keys and escape with her.
