WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- Movie star John Travolta has donated a Gulfstream II jet aircraft to the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame in central Georgia.

The aircraft was flown into Robins Air Force Base Tuesday.

Chrissy Miner with the base told 13WMAZ in Macon that Travolta's plane will be part of the Robins Air Show in April.

A news release said Travolta made the donation in honor of his son Jett, who passed away in 2009.

Travolta's personal websites say that the actor, an avid aviator, holds 11 jet licenses and has won two prestigious aviation awards.
