MARIETTA, Ga. -- A former high school counselor charged with sexual battery has been cleared of the accusations.
Frank Robinson, who used to work at Lassiter High School, had been accused of inappropriately touching a 17-year-old student in 2009 during an appointment at the school.
But Robinson was reportedly found not guilty of all charges Thursday after a jury trial, which began Monday.
Seven witnesses were called by the state and 15 by the defense. Robinson's attorney, Barry Hazen, said his client broke down crying following the verdict.
Robinson was reassigned to Kennesaw Mountain High School after the accusations. Hazen said his client left Kennesaw Mountain last year.
