ATLANTA -- Two highway accidents may seriously impact commuters heading south toward Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Friday afternoon.
A wreck involving five cars and a tractor trailer has caused major backups in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75/85 near University Avenue.
Georgia Department of Transportation authorities said three lanes are closed as they work to clear the scene.
A different tractor trailer overturned on the Interstate 20 eastbound ramp leading to the Downtown Connector's northbound lanes at about 11 a.m. Friday.
The overturned tractor trailer spilled fuel into the roadway, and crews are still working to clean it up.
