ATLANTA -- Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters will headline Music Midtown 2012.
The concert lineup was announced Tuesday afternoon at Piedmont Park. This year's festival will take place September 21 and 22.
Music Midtown returned to Atlanta last year after a six-year absence. Last year's headliner was Coldplay.
Festival promoter Peter Colon of Live Nation remarked that, "Last year we moved quickly to re-introduce the festival and this year, we have expanded our dates to encompass Friday, making this a two-day experience with a more diverse lineup."
The 2012 concert lineup features: Foo Fighters, Van Hunt, T.I., Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Avett Brothers, Pearl Jam, Ludacris, Girl Talk, Florence and The Machine, Civil Twilight, LP and O'Brother.
Promoters say more acts will be announced later.
Tickets go on sale this Saturday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at Music Midtown Online or Live Nation.
