ATLANTA -- A boil-water advisory, in effect for much of southeast Atlanta, has been lifted.
The advisory began after a power outage that resulted in a temporary loss of pressure in the drinking water system.
According to the Department of Watershed Management, "the system was restored to normal operations within 30 minutes."
The following areas were affected:
- Streets between I-20 to the north and Glenwood Avenue to the south and Haas Avenue to the east and Moreland Avenue to the west.
- Streets between Mauldin Street to the north and Memorial Drive to the south and Stovall Street to the east and Holtzclaw Street to the west.
- Streets between Gordon Street to the north and Cottage Grove Avenue to the south and Carter Avenue/5th Avenue to the east and Oakview Road to the west.
Residents were asked to "boil water for 1 minute past a rolling boil" before they use it.
