ATLANTA -- We did it again! Atlanta topped off at 106 degrees again Sunday afternoon. That ties the record that was set just Saturday as the hottest day on record for Atlanta.
Temps started off early Sunday at only 80 degrees, but began climbing quickly. The 106 high occured around 4:30 p.m.
Sunday's humidity was a little higher, and our heat index made it feel a couple of degrees hotter.
Atlanta's previous record high of 105 was set in July 1980.
