Suspicious package cleared in Midtown

ATLANTA -- Police have cleared a suspicious package which forced the evacuation of several buildings in Midtown Atlanta late Tuesday afternoon. 

The suspicious package was reported near 3rd and Cypress streets.

Atlanta Police said 3rd Street was closed between Peachtree and West Peachtree streets, while Cypress Street was closed from 3rd Street to 4th Street.

Traffic is moving freely through the area.
