PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. -- Two people are confirmed dead as a result of a Hurricane Isaac touchdown in Louisiana, earlier this week.
According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, the bodies were located in a residence just south of the East Bank Ferry Landing around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
According to authorities, the two bodies belong to a Caucasian male and female who look to be in their forties -- they may have been a couple.
The bodies were located after a tip from someone who had been rescued from nearby. They were found floating in about 7 feet of water in their kitchen.
As of early Friday morning, 115 people have been rescued from flood waters.
