LONDON -- A former Morehouse College student can now call himself a Paralympic medalist.
Richard Browne won the silver medal in the men's 100m at the London Paralympics Thursday.

The 21-year-old sprinter ran a personal best time of 11.03 seconds in the event.
Great Britain's Jonnie Peacock won the gold, while South Africa's Arnu Fourie took home the bronze. Oscar Pistorius, the South African double-amputee who competed in both the Olympics and Paralympics, finished fourth.
Browne, a native of Jackson, Miss., had his right leg amputated below the knee after an accident in 2009. He is the third athlete with Georgia ties to medal at this year's Games. Augusta swimmer Lantz Lamback brought home a gold and a bronze in two of his events, while cyclist Jennifer Schuble, who trains at an East Point velodrome, won a silver and a bronze.
