LONDON -- David Prince is the final Paralympian with Georgia ties to bring home a medal at the 2012 London Games.
And the bronze medal is undoubtedly the best possible birthday present for the athlete; Prince turned 29 Monday, two days after his big win.

Prince won his medal in the 400m with a time of 50.61 seconds. Oscar Pistorius of South Africa won the gold, while fellow American Blake Leeper took home the silver.
On the Team USA website, Prince lists Marietta as his hometown; he now lives in Brandon, Fla., near Tampa. At age 18, he was in a motorcycle accident that resulted in his right leg being amputated below the knee.
Prince is the fourth athlete with Georgia ties to medal at this year's Paralympics. Another track athlete, Richard Browne, who attended Morehouse College, beat Pistorius and brought home the silver in the 100m. Cyclist Jennifer Schuble, who trains in East Point, won a silver and a bronze in two of her events, and Lantz Lamback, a swimmer from Augusta, scored a gold and a bronze.
