COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Cobb County police are on the scene investigating a fatal car accident that happened at Interstate 75 and Barrett Parkway on Monday afternoon.
At 4:14 p.m., the driver of a vehicle with no passengers drove into a wooded area off of Exit 269 and caught fire. Police believe the crash may be medically related. The victim was deceased when police found the burning vehicle.
All lanes are open, but delays extend about ten miles behind the accident, until Windy Hill Road. Police expect the scene to be cleaned up by 6 p.m.
