The Royal Wedding Cake (The British Monarchy)
SMYRNA, Ga. -- Photographs of that special wedding day.
Pictures that document family, friends and precious memories.
But what happens when you can't enjoy the images you paid for because the photographer won't turn them over?
That's been the problem for one metro Atlanta woman and she may not be alone.
A viewer sent us this email saying her friend paid a photographer almost $6,000 up front for wedding pictures in July of 2009.
Three years later, she still doesn't have her wedding albums.
For Kristen and Chris Seals, a few wedding photos on their coffee table is all they have to show for a $6,000 investment.
Their wedding albums and images are all in the hands of their wedding photographer, where they have been for more than 3 years.
The Seals thought they did everything right.
"We did a lot of research and a lot of interviews and we selected a photographer based on recommendations and research," said Kristen Seals.
The Seals thought it would just be a matter of a month or two before they got their wedding albums and CD.
They were in for quite a shock.
"We just kept getting pushed back and pushed back from him. He said he was coming and coming and at some point he tried to sell us more photographic items which are not what we were looking for. He hasn't answered phone calls or anything or any emails since then it's been very tough," she added.
The Seals said they had just about given up.
They did have a DVD to show family and friends but no lasting albums.
We reached the wedding photographer and got lots of reasons why the albums had not been delivered, but after more than 3 years?
We didn't think that was acceptable.
We set a time and date when everything was to be delivered.
The photographer fully agreed as we were standing with Kristen Seals.
The Help Desk made it clear we'd be there too.
"That's fantastic news. We are thrilled. We never thought we would see our pictures so that is absolutely fantastic." Seals said.
"We had almost given up on this and this is the last ditch effort and I am just thrilled and just shocked," she said.
And good news for a second couple as well.
They've been waiting for their wedding album from the same photographer since June of last year.
It will be now be ready on the same day as the albums for the Seals.
We are not naming the wedding photographer tonight based on his promise to deliver the albums.
If they are not delivered on time, we will let you know just who he is so you don't get caught in the same trap.
