Fugitive arrested in cold case murder

ATLANTA -- Nearly two years after a deadly shooting at a Summerhill recording studio, Atlanta Police have made an arrest.

Brandon Philpot is charged with the Sept. 28, 2010 murder of Aaron Holloway at a home on Martin Street, near Fulton Street in Southeast Atlanta. The home houses From the Ground Up Records. Three other employees of the record company were hurt during the shooting.

Philpot was booked into Fulton County Jail on Monday. It was the 12th time he's been booked into the jail since 2008. Previous charges range from driving without a license to battery.

He waived his first court appearance for this latest charge on Tuesday.

Atlanta Police Investigator David Quinn is credited with staying with the Holloway case all this time, according to Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones.
