SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- A run in Savannah will honor a Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent and three members of the U.S. Customs Service killed in a crash.
The "Run To Remember" set for Oct. 18 will be held in memory of GBI Special Agent William Levi DeLoach. He died along with three federal agents in a 1993 helicopter crash near the Altamaha River.
The run is expected to include 25 recruits, up to 175 law enforcement officers and others.
After the run, a wreath honoring DeLoach will be placed in front of a GBI office.
