Firefighters investigate a boiler explosion at Fitzhugh Lee School in Smyrna on Wed. Oct. 10, 2012
SMYRNA, Ga. -- A boiler at Fitzhugh Lee School off Atlanta Road in Smyrna exploded Wednesday morning blowing out some windows in the building.
Cobb school officials said the boiler was underneath the building that helps operate the school's heating system. They said students were evacuated from the school as a precaution while the situation was handled.
No injuries were reported.
