Anthony Sheppard, 18, of Atlanta
ATLANTA -- Anthony Sheppard is 11Alive's Fugitive of the Week for Oct. 17, 2012.
Sheppard, 18, is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Atlanta Police Department on outstanding warrants for armed robbery and aggravated assault.
The U.S. Marshals said Sheppard and three fellow members of the Atlanta Blood Gang robbed a man outside the Stadium Grocery on Hank Aaron Boulevard on Sept. 27.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Eric Heinze said the victim stopped at the store on his way home from work.
"When he exited the store, he was approached by four males," Heinze said. "They basically grabbed him, produced a handgun and robbed the victim."
What made the robbery so daring was that it happened near Turner Field on a night the Atlanta Braves were playing a home game. There were a lot of people out on the street who could have gotten hurt.
The victim, whose name is not being released by police, told investigators he heard one of the suspects use a street name. From that name, police were able to identify all four suspects involved in the robbery.
Dominique Hancock, Preston Jackson and Ralph Ward were arrested within a few days of the robbery. Sheppard is still on the loose. The Marshals believe Sheppard is hiding out in the Summerhill Community near Turner Field.
