ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- More jobs are on the way for Metro Atlanta from a leading health technology company.
With Metro Atlanta unemployment down to 8.4 percent from almost 10 percent a year ago, the Atlanta Business Chronicle is reporting that Boston area based athenahealth, Inc, is expanding its Alpharetta operations and is considering a Southern hub in Metro Atlanta that will bring in more than 400 jobs with the first of them expected before year-end.
The company specializes in electronic health records and medical billing and practice management. athenahealth, Inc., is one of more than 200 health technology companies now in Georgia employing 16,000 people.
