CLERMONT, Ga. -- Hall County Sheriff's investigators have arrested two suspects and are searching for a third in connection with a home burglary in Clermont.
The suspects were caught taking items from a vacant home on Old Dahlonega Highway just after midnight on Oct. 9, according to sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks.
Investigators held 22-year-old Jonathan Burnett and 25-year-old Casey Walls at the scene, Wilbanks said. A third suspect, Randy Lee Berry, managed to escape police.
Burnett and Walls were charged with burglary and have since been released on bond. Police have secured a warrant for Berry, Wilbanks said.
The suspects took about $200 worth of silverware, phones, costume jewelry and other items. All of the property was returned to its owners, according to Wilbanks.
