ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting at a Family Dollar store in the city's Adamsville neighborhood.
According to police, the officers were responding to the report of a possible burglary at the Family Dollar on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive between Fairburn Road and Interstate 285.
Workers, who were inside the closed store, said a delivery man called 911 from outside.
The caller reported seeing two men wearing hooded jackets in behind the building. However police later said there was only one prowler, not a burglar.
Police said the man aimed his gun at a responding officer, and the officer shot the suspect twice.
Workers noted that the store's alarm never went off.
