The former Fulton County Training Academy caught fire early Thursday.

EAST POINT, Ga. -- An abandoned school building went up in flames in East Point early Thursday.

The first call about the fire at Campbell Drive and Spring Street came in at around 5:15 a.m.

The building used to house the Fulton County Training Academy. Before that, it was Campbell Elementary School.

Fulton Country Fire Chief Jack Butler said it looks like a vehicle was set on fire near the building and flames then spread to the former school.

No one was hurt.

The fire is still under investigation.
