RIVERDALE, Ga. -- Kellogg employee Yonqueal Ridley of Riverdale has won $250,000 from the Georgia Lottery on New Year's Eve.
Forty-year-old Ridley matched five numbers from the December 28 Mega Millions drawing, and said she randomly chose the winning numbers.
"I found out the next morning while watching TV," Ridley said. "I was screaming and hollering."
She bought the lottery ticket from K & B Grocery on Roberts Drive in Riverdale. She told a Georgia Lottery spokeswoman that although she was shocked, she was optimistic about winning.
Ridley is a mother of two, and plans to use her winnings to buy a new home for her family.
