ATLANTA -- Police are turning to the public for help solving a brutal Christmas Eve murder in Southwest Atlanta that left an 18-year-old aspiring artist dead.

Investigators say Joshua Ciscero Watson was robbed and shot in the back of the head as he walked home from the bus stop minutes before midnight on Christmas Eve.

Atlanta Police spokeswoman Kim Jones said Watson's body was discovered in the parking lot of Lakewood Discount Beauty Supply and Furniture on Lakewood Avenue, about a mile from his home.

Watson had been heading home from his job at the Atlanta airport when he was robbed and killed, according to police.

He was a recent high school graduate and was putting together a portfolio in hopes of being accepted to art school.

Jones said no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named so far.
