Suspicious package found at Clayton County Animal Control

JONESBORO, Ga. -- A suspicious package found in a restroom at the Clayton County Animal Control building turned out to be harmless.

A volunteer found the package Friday morning, according to Clayton County Police Officer Danielle Rosa.

A bomb squad secured the building and x-rayed the package. They determined that it did not pose a threat, Rosa said.

No people or animals were harmed during the investigation. The package has since been removed from the building.
