Los Angeles (AP) -- Firefighters have been able to make some progress against a fire at a regional park in Riverside County, Calif., that has threatened nearby homes and buildings and forced some evacuations.

A fire official says the blaze -- at Rancho Jurupa Regional Park -- is now 20 percent contained. The park is about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.

About 200 firefighters, a helicopter and other equipment have been dispatched. No time estimate is available for the fire's containment.

Though winds are currently calm, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for gusty offshore winds in Riverside County valleys, which could fan flames. The advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. Saturday..
