Congressman Hank Johnson (D-4th District)
ATLANTA, Ga. -- The man who publically implied that the island of Guam could capsize is back at it again.
Rep. Hank Johnson, (D), GA-4, of Decatur, went on a rant yesterday in front of the House over helium legislation. He talked about balloons, comedians, and what America would be, without them, and helium.
Here's a sample of his speech:
"Imagine, Mr. Speaker -- a world without balloons. How can we make sure that the injustice of there being no helium for comedians to get that high pitched voice that we all hold near and dear to our hearts... "
Rep. Johnson says his real message was to the House, in reference to their waste of time over helium legislation.
Johnson says two days were spent on that non-controversial bill, when there are more pressing issues, such as creating jobs, fixing the sequester and budget.
