ATLANTA -- A former U.S. poet laureate is the keynote speaker at Emory University's 168th graduation exercises.
Rita Dove will deliver the address at the ceremony for 4,200 seniors who are graduating from the school in Atlanta on Monday.
The Ohio native served as poet laureate from 1993 through 1995, and she won the Pulitzer Prize in poetry in 1987.
Commencement will include recognition for six Tibetan monks who have spent the last three years at Emory. They are part of a program to integrate modern science into Buddhist study.
The ceremony will be streamed live at emory.edu.
