JEFFERSON, Ga. -- A 47-year-old Jefferson man has been charged with two counts of malice murder in connection with the shooting death of his wife and teenage son Wednesday morning.
Police said Marty Reeves of Jefferson, Ga., shot and killed his 42-year-old wife and their 13-year-old son.
The 911 call came into Jefferson police just before 11:00 a.m., reporting a shooting in the 700 block of Gordon Street.
Reeves, 47, the owner of the home where the shooting took place is in custody, according to Chief Joe Wortham. Police said Reeves came out of the home when they got to the house.
Investigators said they recovered two guns from the home, but would not indicate whether one or both were used in the murders.
