ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police say they have a suspect in custody responsible for a violent carjacking in a neighborhood near Atlantic Station.
The victim's friends say a woman was sitting in her car when the suspect pulled a gun, ordered her to the ground and demanded her car keys. The suspect then sped off in her 2005 Honda Pilot.
Shaken, the victim told her friends and later the police that she thought the gunman might have been as young as 10 or 11-years-old.
Police say they spotted the suspect driving the stolen car in Grant Park. Detectives say the he tried to ditch the car behind an apartment complex where he was eventually captured.
Police say the suspect is actually 18-years-old but looks significantly younger. Investigators say the teen may be a suspect in other crimes. Right now, they are not releasing his name or photo.
