KENNESAW, Ga. -- A Kennesaw City councilwoman is heading to Washington D.C. Tuesday to meet with the first lady.
Dr. Cris Eaton-Welsh is representing the community as part of Mrs. Obama's "Let's Move" campaign.
Kennesaw was among the top 100 U.S. cities, towns, and counties to implement a plan to help fight obesity.
The "Fit City Kennesaw" program was ranked eighth in the country.
Welsh will stay in Washington for four days and also meet with the U.S. Department of Health and Human services to talk about how Kennesaw's program became a success, and how that could be used in other communities.
