Defending state champion Norcross, C. Gwinnett and Lassiter practice 7 on 7.
NORCROSS, Ga. - - High school football has become a year round competitive situation, but one of the best teaching and learning scenarios occurs when neither school wins or loses.
The 7 on 7 camp involving host Norcross as well as Lassiter and Central Gwinnett gives players a chance to compete against someone other than teammates and coaches an opportunity correct mistakes on the spot. No one keeps score, it's not a tournament.
"You're trying to win games in a tournament, but all we're trying to do in this format is just get better" said host Keith Maloof of Norcross. Jep Irwin's Lassiter Trojan players and Todd Wofford's Central Gwinnett Black Knights also matched skills with opposing receivers and defenders.
11 Alive also spoke with Norcross seniors Myles Autry and Lorenzo Carter, two of the more highly recruited players on the defending state champion squad.
