(WXIA) -- NBC is partnering with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to help parents with internet safety this summer.
The partnership's efforts will give parents a free tool that can be used to find out how kids are spending their time online.
With school being out during summer months, children are likely spending more time using the internet through computers, tablets and phones.
Considering the dangers of internet predators and cyber bullying, a new online e-book called "Growing Up Online" is geared toward helping parents talk to their kids about what to do and what not to when staying safe online.
