ROSWELL, Ga. -- Crews are sweeping the Chattahoochee River searching for a man who fell in on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Roswell Police, the incident happened around 4 p.m. Officials say the man was travelling in a flotilla at the time of the accident.
The victim's friends say he fell into the water while trying to switch boats and was unable to retrieve the life jacket they threw towards him. The man's friends then returned to the boat rental dock and called the authorities.
Several agencies are searching for the man including Roswell Police and Fire, National Park Service and Sandy Springs Fire.
The man is described as a black male, 5'7" about 100lbs and in his 30's. The man was wearing black cargo pants.
