ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say a man who was fatally shot at a gas station just southwest of downtown Atlanta wasn't a random target.
Police say the shooting happened around noon Monday at a Chevron station near the Atlanta University Center.
Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones says witnesses told investigators the victim was pumping gas when another man approached and opened fire. A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available, and it was unclear if the suspect was recorded on a surveillance system.
Jones says the Atlanta Police homicide investigators are probing the incident.
