SANFORD, Fla. -- George Zimmerman's wife has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor perjury charge for lying during a bail hearing after her husband's arrest.
Shellie Zimmerman entered her guilty plea Wednesday in Florida.
She'd been charged with felony perjury and had entered a not guilty plea. She withdrew that plea and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
A judge sentenced Shellie Zimmerman to one year of probation and 100 hours of community service.
Prosecutors said she misled a judge about how much money she and her husband had for her husband's bond.
