EAST POINT, Ga. -- More than 40 units at a south Fulton County storage facility were damaged by a fire Monday morning.
The fire broke out shortly after 3 a.m. at Public Storage on East Woodberry Avenue.
East Point Fire spokesperson Renita Shelton said 33 units were damaged by flames, and 15 of those units were destroyed. Another eight experienced smoke and water damage.
Fire crews managed to put out the blaze at around 5:30 a.m. There were no reports of any injuries.
Shelton said officials did not immediately know the contents of the destroyed storage units.
