PARACHINAR, Pakistan (AP) -- A government official says a suicide attack targeting a militant commander has killed 15 people in northwestern Pakistan.
The commander targeted in the attack Thursday has been fighting against the Pakistani Taliban in the tribal region where the bombing occurred.
The official says gunmen fired shots at the militant's compound and then a suicide bomber drove a vehicle inside and detonated his explosives. The blast killed 15 people and wounded six others, but it's unclear if the commander was killed.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but suspicion will likely fall on the Pakistani Taliban.
