Police said Cham killed his cousin, 42-year-old Mohamadou Touray, on Aug. 7, 2010. The murder happened inside a discount mall on Godby Road in College Park.
Several witnesses told police they saw Cham, now 47, hit Touray in the head and chest with a hammer. Cham stayed at the scene and even admitted to responding officers that he killed the victim for sleeping with his wife.
Touray was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead the next day.
Cham was charged with murder, felony murder and aggravated assault in Touray's death.
