MARIETTA, Ga. -- Four defendants pleaded guilty in Cobb County Superior Court Wednesday to beating and stomping a former Marine to death last year.
Zachary Gamble, 34, was taken off life support on Apr. 8, 2012, two weeks after he was attacked in the parking lot of a Smyrna apartment complex.

The men convicted of killing him are 38-year-old Arthur Batchelor of Acworth, 40-year-old Sean Hall of Mableton, 36-year-old Jason Hill of Woodstock and 37-year-old Tarell Secrest of Marietta.
All four pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault. They were each sentenced to 30 years, with 20 to be served in prison.
Tina Robbins, the victim's mother, spoke on behalf of Gamble's family.
"There are no words to describe watching your child die right in front of your eyes," she said. "Zach was my firstborn and my only son. He had a presence that would light up a room."
"If you would have called 911 immediately, Zach would be here," Robbins added, addressing the defendants. "I mourn for your families ... You've destroyed all of us."
Gamble's family also played a recorded message from the victim's 8-year-old son.
"I feel really sad that I can't see him anymore," Luke Gamble said in the recording. "I miss him so much. I feel really sad that all this happened to him."
